General Information:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The scholarships for Master\u2019s and Doctorate students in the PPG\u00a0(Post-Graduation Program),\u00a0in Law,\u00a0are\u00a0awarded\u00a0by CAPES or by the\u00a0CNPq,\u00a0by means of a\u00a0selection carried out\u00a0on the basis of a specific\u00a0call, which is\u00a0published\u00a0according to\u00a0the quotas available for the Post-Graduation Program.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

(Currently, the Program\u00a0has\u00a012 scholarships for the Master\u2019s\u00a0and 15 scholarships for\u00a0the Doctorate \u2013from\u00a0CAPES,\u00a0and 01 scholarship\u00a0for Master\u2019s\u00a0and 01 for Doctorate \u2013\u00a0from\u00a0CNPq).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The request for\u00a0scholarship does not guarantee its grant. The evaluation of the candidates\u00a0follow\u00a0the criteria\u00a0required\u00a0by the\u00a0research\u00a0promotion\u00a0agencies and by the Post-Graduation Commission and it is\u00a0carried out\u00a0by\u00a0the Scholarship Committee, composed of two Professors\u00a0from\u00a0the Program and one representative of the\u00a0Post-Graduation\u00a0students. During the evaluation, the Scholarship Committee\u00a0may\u00a0convoke candidates to provide the\u00a0clarification\u00a0they\u00a0deem\u00a0necessary.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is considered\u00a0eligible\u00a0for the scholarship, the Master\u2019s, Doctorate and Direct Doctorate students who fulfil\u00a0the rules\u00a0stipulated by the\u00a0CNPq\u00a0and CAPES (See the Ordinance\u00a0N.1 dated July 15, 2010: https:\/www.gov.br\/capes\/pt-br\/centrais-de-conteudo\/portarias-conjuntas-n-1-e-2-capes-cnpq-15-07-2010-pdf\/view).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0granting of the\u00a0scholarship implies\u00a0the student\u2019s\u00a0commitment\u00a0and full dedication to\u00a0the\u00a0research,\u00a0and\u00a0if\u00a0the student\u00a0is\u00a0engaged in\u00a0an\u00a0eventual and simultaneous\u00a0paid activity,\u00a0it\u00a0must\u00a0meet the requirements and conditions\u00a0demanded\u00a0by the development agencies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In view of the limited resources available, it is recommended to submit scholarship requests also to FAPESP\u00a0and\u00a0to\u00a0other national and international research promotion agencies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Extension of Scholarships<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Scholarship extension will only be allowed in extraordinary cases,\u00a0duly justified. The extension request must be filed within 60 (sixty) days before the end of the scholarship period.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Scholarship Commission of the Law\u00a0School of USP\u00a0has\u00a0decided to limit scholarship prorogations\u00a0to a maximum of 05 months, following the Ordinance\u00a0Nr.121, dated August 19, 2020 (<\/span>http:\/\/cad.capes.gov.br\/ato-administrativo-detalhar?idAtoAdmElastic=4785<\/span><\/a>), in order to enable\u00a0a\u00a0greater rotation of scholarship holders.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Internship Scholarship on\u00a0Research Abroad (BEPE) \u2013 FAPESP<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The FAPESP\u00a0considers it a priority to support short and medium-term research internships abroad,\u00a0by its fellows.\u00a0The new modality of research internships abroad for FAPESP\u2019s\u00a0scholarship holders,\u00a0towards\u00a0Scientific\u00a0Initiation,\u00a0Master\u2019s,\u00a0Doctorate,\u00a0Direct\u00a0Doctorate and\u00a0Postdoctoral studies,\u00a0must be used during the\u00a0period of validity\u00a0of the scholarship,\u00a0in the\u00a0Country.\u00a0The proposals must demonstrate that the research internship abroad will bring a substantial contribution to the research carried out by the\u00a0student\u00a0in Brazil, which is the objective\u00a0of the scholarship in the Country.\u00a0The approval of the research internship abroad implies the interruption of the scholarship in the\u00a0Country, to be resumed when returning from abroad, without prejudice to its duration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The adviser or supervisor of the fellow will be responsible\u00a0for\u00a0the request and must identify the research\u00a0group abroad, in which the\u00a0research internship\u00a0will be carried\u00a0out ,\u00a0as well as indicate\u00a0the researcher abroad who will supervise the\u00a0student\u00a0during the research internship. The institution abroad must have international leadership in the area in which the fellow will carry out the research internship.\u00a0Both the institution and the researcher abroad\u00a0will have to express, formally,\u00a0their agreement with the research project and the acceptance of the scholarship holder during the research internship, at no cost to FAPESP, other than those resulting from the grant and its benefits. The scholarship application must be made directly with FAPESP.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
