The Selection process is the form of admission as a Regular Student in the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Courses (Master's, Doctorate and Direct Doctorate), which are offered by the Post-graduation Program in Law.

Processo Seletivo 2021-2022

 

The Post-Graduation Program in Law of the Law School of the University of São Paulo PPGD-FDUSP) carries out, annually, the selection process for admission to Master’s, Doctorate and Direct-Doctorate. The vacancies are offered according to both official Research Lines of the PPGD-FDUSP and the Tutoring Professors linked to them, in each Concentration Area 

The Selection Process for Regular Students is applied by the Fundação Universitária para o Vestibular – FUVEST – (University Foundation for the University Entrance exam) and the students enter the course in the subsequent year to the exam completion. 

The Selection Process consists in three (3) steps: 1) proof/test of proficiency in foreign language(s); 2) proof of legal knowledge; 3) the selection with the advisers.  

In order to participate in the selection process, interested parties must accompany the publication of the call on this page, as well as pay attention to the rules set forth therein.  

Course Modalities:

Master’s 

Basic academic requirements for admission include a bachelor’s degree and proficiency in a foreign language. For the conclusion of the course, it is necessary to obtain at least 40 (forty) credits taken in disciplines, pass  the Qualification  Exam and defend and pass a Dissertation before a judging commission, composed according to the rules of the postgraduate regulation of the USP. 

Doctorate 

The doctorate has as basic requirements for admission, the master’s degree and proficiency in 2 (two) foreign languages. In order to complete the course, it is necessary to obtain at least 40 (forty) credits taken in courses, pass the Qualification Exam  and defend  and approve a Thesis before a judging commission composed according to the rules of the postgraduate regulations of the USP.  

Direct Doctorate 

The Direct Doctorate has as basic requirements for admission, a bachelor’s degree and proficiency in 2 (two) foreign languages. In order to complete the course, it is necessary to obtain  at least 80 (eighty) credits taken in courses, pass the Qualification Exam and defend and approve a Thesis before a judging commission composed according to the rules of the postgraduate regulations of the USP.
