The Law School of the University of São Paulo has a single Post-Graduation Program, whose coordination is an attribution of the Post-Graduation Commission (CPG), which covers the Coordinating Committee of the Program (CCP) and assumes its attributions.
The competence of the Postgraduate Studies Commission is defined in the General Postgraduate Regulations of the University of São Paulo (USP) and encompasses the definition of the program guidelines of the Post-graduation, the coordination of its didactic-scientific activities, the accreditation of teachers and subjects , the decision on charging fees, specifically authorized by the General Regulations of USP, the consideration of requests for conversion from a master’s degree to doctorate, the choice of criteria for qualifying examinations and the judgement of dissertations and theses, the appointment of members of the examining boards, among other matters.
